Ahead of the Dubai Moonlight Classic we put the spotlight on five female celebs bringing some glam to the greens

Dubai Moonlight Classic

Ladies golf is in the spotlight this week with the Dubai Moonlight Classic presented by EGA, taking place under the floodlights on the Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club from October 27-29. With some of golf’s biggest names in town, from Dame Laura Davies and Catriona Matthew through to the Jutanugarn sisters, Ladies European Tour race leader Attaya Thitikul, there’s no better time to take an interest in the game.

If you weren’t convinced, here are our five fave female celebrities who have fallen for the fairways and are adding glamour to the greens.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas The stunning Indian actress, model, film producer and winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant can often be found on various courses around the world with her hubby, pop sensation Nick Jonas. Most recently, they were spotted at the Scottsdale National Golf Club in Arizona playing a casual round of golf with other notable Hollywood stars. We’d love to share a four-ball with Nick and Priyanka!

Jennifer Lopez J-Lo is a multi-talented singer, dancer and actress and it turns out she can add golf to her list of talents! Jenny’s been round the block a few times, playing golf at the best courses across the USA. What’s more the Mother actress can also tune up at home, as she has a mini-golf course in the grounds of her Bel Air mansion.

Nicole Kidman The Australian actress is regularly seen at pro-am events and has teed it up with fellow actors such as Chris Evans and Morgan Freeman in celebrity pro-am tournaments. The Undoing actress said: “I’ve taken up golf because I find it relaxing. I’ve had a long career now and I know what’s important in life.” Compatriot and golfing legend Greg Norman has helped Nicole out with her game, and gave her a solid ‘6 out of 10’ for her talents on the course!

Vera Wang She might be better known for creating those beautiful wedding dresses, but fashion designer Vera loves nothing more than to get away from it all and unwind on the course. Vera admits that she is “terrible but enthusiastic”, but she still has designs on a round every now and again in the Hamptons to unwind and “engage”.

Cameron Diaz Former actress turned entrepreneur Diaz loves nothing more than a round of golf. The 49-year-old picked up the sport on the set of her hilarious comedy, ‘There’s Something About Mary’, and she plays off a handicap of 36.

With music and family-friendly activities such as face painting on the cards, there’s sure to be a carnival atmosphere and plenty to keep everyone engaged from 4-10pm each night.
